Scales of

Negativity

Why a Negative mindset is releasable / by acknowledging your mind

This content, including the video and the tool, does not attempt to involve any healing method. Because it is difficult to be accurate in a general content like this one, however, this content will offer a different perspective on why our shadows and negativity are solvable (not get rid of).

Please remember to consider seeking consultation or professional advice in your healing journal if you need it.

Preparation

It is simple. Download the JPEG image above, print it out. Get a pen, and two tiny objects as meeples (small coins or even paper clips will do).

This pair of scales is designed to weigh your thoughts by using graphics to indicate the amount of time and energy you are investing in negativity.

Step 1

Write down your situation or intention in the banner. What are you concerned about on your path, career, relationship, or study?

About staying in the same position? Want to try something new? Or, don’t know where to go?

Step 2

Fill in what you want and what you don’t on both ends.

What outcome would you like to see, and what is something you absolutely don’t want to see happen?

Step 3

Step 4

Fill in the area next to the heart with a smile.

Do you know what positive mindsets are good for you, or are any actions required to receive the outcome you want?

Motivation? Better communication? Letting go?

Fill in the area next to the sad heart.

Are you aware of any negative mindset that isn't benefiting you? Or, any action you are doing might trigger dire consequences?

Power-hungry? Over-reliance? Fear of change? Stonewalling?

Step 5

After filling in the blanks on the scales, you can now start weighing your thoughts.

The first line is your thoughts, and the second line is your mindset and actions.

Step 6

Place the objects you prepared, each one on a line. Place it closer to one side according to your state of mind.

How much time and energy have you invested in Positivity or Negativity?

Positivity

Are you thinking of things you don’t want more than others?

Do your mindsets and actions tend to be positive or negative?

Step 7

This pair of scales is a practice to indicate where your mind, beliefs, thoughts, and actions are being put.

Step 8

If a person focusing on something doesn’t want it, and the mindset isn’t supportive of taking action to achieve their desire, Negativity will become louder.

Step 9

On the other hand, if put the focus on the desirable outcome with a positive mindset, this person already goes and gets it.

Positivity or Negativity

It depends on whether our mind, beliefs, thoughts, and actions are compatible or not.

Last

Our emotions and mental condition are sensitive; sometimes we feel good, and sometimes not, especially when we're ending one chapter of life to begin a new one. Negativity rises due to uncertainty and unknown territory.

Negativity

Positivity

But focusing our mind on jumping from one state to the opposite is unreasonable. To release negativity, we need to slow down the impulse within and guide ourselves to a neutral position before stepping into positivity.

At the center of the scales, this is the exit point from negativity and also the entrance to positivity.
